Shift from Rapid Development to Smart Development

My Commitments to You
✔ I will discontinue backroom meetings that
should be open to the public
as per open meetings law. Good government begins
with establishing transparency.
✔ I will propose
appointment of a Citizen Planning and Zoning Advisory Committee.
We need to
perform a comprehensive review
of zoning and zoning laws starting with high
density development.
✔ I will propose
appointment of a Citizens Budget and Finance Committee
to look at all aspects
of town expenses, debt and investments focused on
pro-active management that
cuts costs.
✔ I will cut spending first before ever considering overriding the tax cap.
✔ I will propose
an Anti-Nepotism Policy focused on mitigating
the risk of a
qualified Grand Island Resident being passed up for a town job.
✔ I will not be bought
by developers or special interests with business before the town.
